Meet David

Choosing a therapist is an important decision, and finding someone who makes you feel understood can make all the difference. My goal is to provide a supportive, collaborative space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to create meaningful change.

I earned my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) and Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University and my bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology from Tufts University. My work is grounded in evidence-based practice and informed by a strength-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach.

As a first-generation American of West African descent, I recognize the ways culture, identity, family, and life experiences shape how we understand ourselves and navigate challenges. I strive to honor each client's unique story while helping them build practical skills, strengthen resilience, and move toward a life that reflects their values.

My passion for psychology began long before my formal training. Growing up in an inner-city community, I witnessed the effects of trauma, violence, and addiction on individuals and families. Those experiences inspired a lifelong commitment to understanding human behavior and helping people heal, grow, and thrive.

I believe therapy is a partnership. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to provide the guidance, support, and evidence-based tools to help you overcome obstacles, build on your strengths, and create lasting change.

Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or navigating a major life transition, I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward greater clarity, resilience, and well-being.
